“Ununiversalizable Us” is the lead-off track from The Very Most’s newest EP of the same name! It’s a sweet melodic pop tune with bright synth lines that eventually give way to some brilliant fluttering flute(?) ala-the end of Belle and Sebastian’s “I’m Waking Up To Us”. Which makes perfect sense since some of the Boise, Idaho band’s bigger influences seem to lie in the realm of that sweet Scottish pop sound—Camera Sebastian and the like. The EP continues along a similar path and if you dig “Ununiversalizable Us” than you’re not gonna want to miss the rest.
