A Monthly Mix: September 2012!

You guyyyyyyyyysssssssssss!!! It’s Fall! Almost! I’ve been lying to myself since mid-August and pretending that all the humidity and rain has ACTUALLY just been a nice crispy breeze. BUT! If anything is going to trick you into thinking it’s Fall, it’s melodic minor chord melancholy—and this month’s mix is packed full of it. There’s also a whole bunch of new (and newish) stuff of on the mix this month! The mix opens with a 1-2-3-4 run of 2012 (and VERY Fall-appropriate) gems from Troubled Sleep, Novella, Burnt Palms, and Sarah Mary Chadwick. A big leaf pile of new and old follows, with Built To Spill covering Heavenly, a 7+ minute Ropers sadfest, and Young Prisms closing it out with one of my favorite songs of the year. Cool!
